A Father’s Day Story

On June 20th Pastor Debbie honors our Fathers and brings a message about a particular father, who experienced some major family struggles in his life, much from his own doing. The Lord called and anointed David to be king of Israel as a young boy, but throughout his life, his own character flaws, selfishness and unwise decisions caused him to experience some truly horrific family problems. But, no matter how messy life got, we read in our text from Psalm 121 where King David says, I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, because I know that’s where my help comes from. This message assures us that no matter how poorly we’ve behaved, or even how terrible of a father we might have been, we can always, always, repent of our sin and re-commit our faith in God, like David did!
